I’m excited to announce that I’ll be presenting at the 2018 meeting of the Society for American Music in Kansas City, MO, with what might be my favorite paper title so far:

“‘Satie Would Have Murdered Him’: John Cage, Darius Milhaud, and the Contested Legacy of Erik Satie.”

The title quotes Milhaud’s complaint about Cage in a 1971 San Francisco Chronicle interview:
